Key Functions

  • Implement and maintain vendor supplied security software packages, perform diagnostics for security problems, and identify/mitigate security risks
  • Review and update Cybersecurity documentation on an annual basis
  • Review and monitor DISA STIGs (IIS, SharePoint, SQL Server) and/or RMF Controls, conduct vulnerability audits, security configuration checks, and system configuration scans to meet IA/Cyber Security requirements
  • Performance of vulnerability scans with ACAS, HBSS, VMS and other IA-specific scanning software
  • Knowledge of Federal and DoD Guidance (DoDD 8500.1, DoDI 8500.2), RMF, NIST, and DoD Certification & Accreditation processes
  • Updating and maintaining eMASS accreditation database for all AEP systems
  • Perform system scans for classified information spillages (CIS) and personally identifiable information (PII) breaches
  • Generate and manage cyber documentation such as system security plans, POA&Ms, Certificates of Networthiness (CoN)
  • Monitor and maintain server infrastructure to ensure operability
  • Perform system hardware and software installation and configuration
  • Perform desktop and server imaging
  • Regularly apply OS patches and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot issues/outages
  • Ensure system security through access controls and firewalls
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts as requested
  • Provide technical support to end users, both onsite and remote
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and maintenance records

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field with 2+ years of relevant work experience OR Masters Degree and 1+ years of experience OR PhD and 0+ years of experience
  • 2 years of relevant work experience performing IA / Cyber Security responsibilities including planning, testing, and documenting accreditation packages for DoD Information Technology
  • IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE)
  • CISSP (preferred)
  • At least one Microsoft Certification (MCTS, MCITP, MCPD, MCSA, or MCSE)

Required Technical Skills

  • IA / Cybersecurity experience including RMF, NIST, STIG Checklists (IIS/Web Server, SharePoint, SQL Server), ACAS, HBSS, Retina
  • Knowledge of Federal and DoD Guidance, DIACAP, DoD Certification & Accreditation process, eMASS system (RMF Controls, POA&Ms, Implementation Plan, DoD Certification & Accreditation Process)
  • SharePoint 2013, SQL Server 2014, IIS/Web Server
